Transition Time ... The Non-Labor Kind

These pictures capture the last moments of us living in our first apartment here in Seattle, as well as  my (Mitch's) last few moments before entering my late 20's!
I know this will be a shock to everyone, but we've been extremely busy. Here are the details:
- Megan has been a part of a singing group the Merry Musettes, a talented group of girls who have been rehearsing songs from the 30's and 50's for the last few months. They then went on the road to retirement communities to sing for the residents there.
- For the 4th of July, we went on a hike with a bunch of friends up to Wallace Falls (a fun little challenge with beautiful views), after which we BBQ'ed together and then watched the Lake Union fireworks show from a nearby park.
- For my birthday, Megan made me a delicious and huge cake with whipped cream and fruit all over it. We also went camping the following week near Deception Pass. Despite the torrential rain when we initially showed up, we successfully made a fire to roast our Bratwurst, set up the tent, and had a very enjoyable weekend! She's definitely a trooper, camping so far into the pregnancy!
- The week after camping, we moved into a new apartment complex (pictures coming later), which we are now managing (the Henry Apartments). Our new apartment is a lot nicer, quieter, and more spacious than our last one. We definitely upgraded with the move. However, with Megan's internship at Seattle Children's Theatre, and me still working on my Physics PhD, having more duties as resident managers is definitely a lot to pile on in addition to preparing for Aubrie to come into our lives!
We wouldn't have it any other way, though. We definitely feel blessed with the portion we've been given!

on the beach out there. Washington is such an ideal place!
